Susan was elected as the Member of Parliament for London North Centre from 2011 to 2015. During her tenure, she was appointed twice as the Parliamentary Secretary for the Status of Women.
During her time as an MP, Susan was also appointed to the Special Committee on Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women.
She actively participated in committees focusing on women’s issues and Indigenous affairs, showcasing her dedication to advancing women’s rights and Indigenous communities.
Susan is a recipient of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal.
Susan’s extensive experience in public service and unwavering commitment to women’s empowerment make her an invaluable asset to Secord Strategies.
With a newly elected government, Susan served as Deputy Chief of Staff in the Ministry of Children, Community, and Social Services in 2018, and Chief of Staff in the Ministry of Heritage Sport, Tourism, and Culture Industries from 2019 to 2023.
Prior to her life in politics, Susan worked as an Assistant Manager and Director of Sales and Marketing for a hotel and conference centre, and was involved in the hospitality industry for sixteen years.
Susan also owns a business in London, Ontario.
